Biker girl

So I dropped off my family to work on some bike riding and when I came back this is what I found. My big girl figured out how to ride a two-wheeler (I may have teared up a little bit when I saw it). I don't know if you can hear it in the video, but the whole time she is riding she is repeating to herself, "I can ride my big girl bike all by myself". Way to go Hailey!

*here's my update on 2/15-I don't know why the stinking video doesn't seem to be working. Let me know if it works for you or just take my word for it, it was cute.

I've been told its time to post again

I don't know what that's about...like I've neglected my blog or something...
So, what have we been up to here? Hm. I've just been busy growing a baby. I feel plumpy (like in Madagascar 2). We've got less than a month till baby sis makes her debut. I'm kinda nervous. Can I really do this 3 kid thing? Too late now! Mwahahaha.
So I can't believe I'm posting this...but I'm in a brave mood, so here's me at right around 36 weeks...I may have swallowed a basketball.
Here's a picture that Hailey took a while ago of Ben and me, somehow I managed to hide my entire belly. Nice.
This is kinda random, but here is a picture of Hailey and her friend Maryan from when we went to dinner at Chuys a few weeks back. Hunter got to go on a scout campout with daddy. We got to go out to eat. I like our end of the deal better...
Last month we took the kids to the zoo on free day. We went at the end of the day so daddy could come too. It was still crowded, but we got to see some cool animals and we had lots of fun. Of course my favorite part may have been the cotton candy we got at the end of our trip...
I like these kids
This picture was so funny because I was setting up the camera to take a picture of the kids and myself while Ben was in the bathroom. I guess he came out just in time because right as the camera flashed I felt this extra person join our picture...
Also, my great friends threw me a baby shower this past weekend and I hope to obtain and post some pictures from that soon.

Another year...two more birthdays

I can't believe another year has passed. All the sudden Hunter is a big 3-year old and Hailey is 5.

Dear Hunter, I remember when you were so tiny and couldn't run away or talk back. But I still love you...
The kids each got to have a few friends over for a little party (and not a joint one like they've had in the past)-they had lots of fun.

Look at this amazing cake that my friend Terri made. I learned to really appreciate how much work she must have put into this when I attempted to do a cake for Hailey (you'll see what I mean as you scroll down). You're awesome Terri!
You can't tell from this picture cause he was tired of posing at this point, but he was thrilled with the cake and kept asking to see it.
Painting pictures of Buzz. (can you tell how much Hunter loves Buzz?)
Here's Hunter and his good friend Danny. We were glad Danny could come just before his move. Hunter loves the sweatshirt you got him!
Here's Hailey way back when. That is one chunky preemie. I miss the days when you didn't act like a hormonal teenager too. Love you baby girl.
Fun painting princesses with friends
And here she is now with the lovely cake I did...
Group shot with the friends, thanks for making it a fun day guys.

fun things

We had lots of fun having Aunt Katy here for a visit...come back soon! Here's a picture of Katy and Hailey in front of the Houston temple. And below is kind of a blurry picture, but pretty decent considering the photographer was either 3 or 5.
Last weekend we took the kids and their friend Brenna to see Disney on Ice. It was so much fun.
Since Hunter is so in love with his Buzz costume we let them dress up too. Everyone thought it was so cute.
My girl and me.

As a completely random side note, is anyone else impressed with the little orange man that I inadvertently created while peeling a clementine the other day?

Blue Bell time

Well, Ben's sister is here for a visit, so we decided to take her up to tour the Blue Bell Creamery. It's a bit of of drive, but it was fun. Who doesn't love a tour that ends with a scoop of ice cream?
So hard to get these two to stay still for a picture, but I just had to get them in front of the old ice cream truck.
Here's a picture of the outside of the factory, coincidentally it looks like the cow is trying to get Katy.
We managed to get a decent picture of the four of us using the timer. And yes, Katy and I are wearing the same shirt. We got matching Dave and Busters shirts with all the tickets we got last night. So fun.
Here I am with the kiddos. They are conveniently covering up my belly. Thanks guys.

I'm back...

Okay, I suppose it is finally time to wake up from my blog hibernation. Anybody miss me? I have a good reason for such a prolonged absence...wanna see??
I look kinda goofy in the picture...I was trying to ensure that I did not end up with a double chin...So the belly is not just from overeating-it's a baby GIRL who's going to come join us in the beginning of March. Yay! I would have blogged about this earlier, but for the first couple of months I was feeling so gross that I didn't want to. Then I thought I might as well wait for the ultrasound so I could have some really exciting news to share.

Guess I'll post some photos from our last 3+ months:

Here's my little Buzz Lightyear (who may not have removed the costume since Halloween) and the Little Mermaid. They had lots of fun this year and got lots and lots of treats.

had a great time helping me make cookies.
Hailey sporting my Halloween wig.
At the pumpkin patch with cousin Ellie. The surprise rainstorm was lots of fun and Hunter made sure to get very dirty.
Hunter enjoyed his first pony ride. What a cute cowboy.
Hailey was very excited to find eggs in the chicken coop.
Hailey's first day of school. She is going to pre-k two days a week at the baptist church. She loves it and is learning so much.
Look at my good little miniature golfers. They had lots of fun but they sure don't play by the rules.
Having fun with ice cream after a crazy game of mini golf.
I'm surprised at how entertaining it was to bury my children in the sand. We went down to Galveston a few times this summer. This was the trip we took for my birthday. It was such a fun day. (also coincidentally the day I found out that baby #3 is coming)
In the morning at the hotel the kids were having a lot of fun hiding behind the curtains. This is there reaction when I discovered them.
Wow, now I'm all the way back to June when we got to stay down in San Antonio with our friends Kelly and Cory. Cory's parent's were nice enough to watch all the kids so we could go see Wicked. So much fun!
Kelly and I being a little goofy in the car.
Hailey and her friend Aurora.
And lastly a nice little picture where my son is cross-dressing. Though Hailey informed me that this is the boy dress up clothes because it has the brown leopard print.

What we've been up to

So I must end my blogging hiatus. In the last couple of months we've had lots of visitors and lots of fun, so I better post some pictures before I lose them. Let's see, so after Ben's mom and sister were here in March we got my friend Heidi and her son Jonah. I seem to recall that everyone was feeling under the weather at the beginning of the trip, but we managed to have some fun anyway. (Consider yourself forewarned: there will be a lot of pictures)

Kids playing at the fountains, always fun.
Heidi and Jonah at the bounce place.
We convinced Ben to watch the kids so we could go out to dinner and a movie with my friend Carrie.
A standard for visitors at our house: homemade wontons, yum.
At the end of Heidi's trip my dad come out for a bit. Heidi and I have known eachother since like 4th grade, so it was fun for her and my dad to get to see eachother briefly
When dad was here we had fun going to the beach-and since it's so far after the fact I'll only post one pic.
Sibling love.
Thanks for coming grandpa.
I think it was in May that Ben took Hunter to the father son campout...but I really don't remember. They had fun.
Hailey and I like to go on dates when the boys go camping.
One day I walked in Hunters room to find this...what a rock star.
These pictures don't really go together chronologically, but doesn't this seem like the perfect reaction??
At the end of May mom and Ken were here for a visit. The only picture I have from that trip is when we made Ken slave away helping Ben to refinish the table that has been in our garage for a year.
One day Kelly and I were a bit loopy and were showing off how we can still rock the side pony.
Some time during June my son took cross dressing to a new level. Ben is wondering if he has failed as a father.
We took another trip to the beach, this time with Kelly, Janalyn and their kids.
cute boy
pretty girl
One day the kids matched for church so we tried to take some photos. Someone was fussing for most of them, so here's a decent one.

Ok, I'm done posting pics for today. Stay tuned next time for photos from our San Antonio trip, new baby cousin and my birthday.
